Skeen – Dermatoscopy and Trichoscopy

The Skeen FotoFinder is an innovative technology that combines digital dermatoscopy and trichoscopy with artificial intelligence. With magnifications of 20x or 40x, it provides detailed, informative images that can be polarized or non-polarized to optimally visualize the structures of the skin and hair.

Skeen assists in dermatoscopy by enabling early detection and assessment of skin changes such as moles, which allows for early diagnosis and can help avoid unnecessary surgeries. Thanks to the integrated AI assistant, a score is provided based on a powerful deep learning algorithm validated in clinical studies. This facilitates an initial assessment of skin lesions.

In trichoscopy, Skeen allows for detailed examination of hair and scalp. It can aid in diagnosing hair and scalp conditions such as hair loss, psoriasis, or alopecia, and also monitor the effectiveness of treatments. Skeen is a modern tool that provides early important information for an eventuel subsequent specialist treatment.

Patient Target Group

Patients with any of the following characteristics are suitable for examination with the system:

  • Persons with skin lesions
  • Patients with a high skin cancer risk or a family history of skin cancer
  • Patients with multiple naevi syndrome
  • Patients with inflammatory skin conditions
  • Patients with scalp or hair disorders

Am I at risk for skin cancer?

If you answer "Yes" to any of the following questions, an extended skin cancer screening makes sense!

Are you of a light skin type and sensitive to the sun?

Do you have particularly many moles (over 50)?

Do you have large, congenital moles?

Do you have unusual, different, or changed moles?

Did you experience frequent sunburns as a child or adolescent?

Have you used a tanning salon?

Is there a history of skin cancer in your family, or have you ever had skin cancer yourself?

Are you regularly exposed to strong sunlight (outdoor worker)?
